All healthcare professionals and movement practitioners are welcome to sign up for Embodia. The majority of the content is geared towards rehabilitation practitioners, such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and massage therapists; however, all practitioners are welcome.

    Shelly is a physiotherapist, yoga therapist, educator and pioneer of PhysioYoga with over 20 years of experience integrating yoga into rehabilitation with a focus on helping people suffering from chronic or persistent pain, pelvic health conditions and professional burnout.

    Carolyn Vandyken

    BHSc (PT)

    Carolyn is the co-owner of Reframe Rehab, a teaching company engaged in breaking down the barriers internationally between pelvic health, orthopaedics and pain science. Carolyn has practiced in orthopaedics and pelvic health for the past 34 years. She is a McKenzie Credentialled physiotherapist, certified in acupuncture, and holds a certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

    Antony Lo is a physiotherapist from Australia and runs The Physio Detective service. He completed his postgraduate masters in Manual Therapy (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy) from the University of Western Australia and commenced his Specialization training in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. He has been involved with treating CrossFit athletes since 2011 and has helped some of the world’s best CrossFitters at the highest levels through to beginners of all ages.

    Bahram is a physiotherapist and founder of the Advanced Physical Therapy Education Institute (APTEI). He's taught 1000+ continuing education courses to healthcare professionals across Canada & internationally. His primary clinical approach is to identify relevant functional impairments and determine the best self-management strategy to maximize patient independence.

    Devon graduated with a bachelor of science degree from UVic in 2010 and a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from UBC in 2014. He spent most of his past working life, before becoming an OT, supporting children and youth living with a variety of special needs.

    Diane Jacobs graduated from U. Sask with a physiotherapy diploma in 1971, started using manual therapy in1983, and went solo in 1994. She has been interested in pain science and working cutaneous nerves into the manual therapy story since 1998; she calls this dermoneuromodulating.

    Cecile has completed training in Paediatric physiotherapy, sensory integration therapy, Orthopedic medicine, and Orthopedic manual therapy. Since 2018, Cecile has been teaching dry needling and manual techniques as a complementary treatment for Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP).
